Directions to the Cabin
The West Side
From Seattle/Tacoma: Take I-5 South to Exit 127, at Highway 12. Follow Highway 12 to Highway 7. Follow Highway 7 to the town of Elbe.
From Olympia: Take I-5 North to Exit 108, at Highway 510. Follow Highway 510 to Highway 702. Take Highway 702 to Highway 7. Follow Highway 7 to the town of Elbe.
From Portland: Take I-5 North to Exit 68, at Highway 12. Follow Highway 12 to Highway 7. Take Highway 7 North to the town of Elbe.
If you've made it to Elbe, you're almost there! Read on.
From Elbe, go east on Highway 706 through Ashford to Kernahan Rd. (marked by a large green sign "Gifford Pinchot National Forest"). Go right on Kernahan Rd. and follow it to Osborn Rd. (marked by a sign for Paradise Estates). Go right on Osborn Rd. Follow it past the 'Big Lake". Cedar Cabin on the Creek is on your right about of a quarter of a mile down Osborn Rd. right after a sign : "Richards". Arrive at 252 Osborn Road.
The East Side
Coming from the East is a little different. In the summer, some roads are passable. During the winter, there is snow, so you have to drive around.
From Yakima in the Summer: Take Highway 12 to Packwood. At Packwood, take forest Service Rd. #52. Follow #52 to Highway 706 East. Follow directions above from Elbe!
From Yakima in the Winter: Take Highway 12 to Packwood. At Packwood, take Highway 7 North to Elbe. Follow Directions above from Elbe!
